Nowadays, who you are online is...who you are. Socially, brands must walk and talk the part — follow their own standards and post with purpose. Meanwhile, garnering media interest is a game of strategy. A pitch requires an angle, a POV, and perhaps most importantly, the sources to help tell the story. My background in journalism comes in handy when working across all forms of communications, and while managing content and editorial calendars to meet press deadlines.

Work done for fine design group.

As part of a larger content strategy initiative, after the website launched, our team developed a blog with a continued lifestyle approach. The blog works to shift the sparkling wine industry away from special occasions only and into everyday is reason enough. Writing and editing posts ranged from perfect pairings for seasonal activities, to winemaker profiles, to invented occasions that are made better with bubbles. The blog then became a launch pad for an overarching social campaign. Work with this client concluded October 2017.

Social media content continues the brand activation and consumer interaction with custom-written posts for FacebookInstagram, and Twitter. In these channels, I spent monthly efforts inspiring moments of celebration, to bring the initial brand content strategy full circle. Work with this client concluded October 2017.

Ongoing PR efforts for FINE include interviews, article contributions, project and client announcements, and original thought leadership pieces in industry publications. Working with an external partner, we strategize media placement and upcoming content needs to drive brand awareness and engagement in publications like The Drum, GDUSA magazineA List Apart, The Portland Egotist, Creative Boom, and WorkDesign.

Weekly blog posts cover project launches, new client partnerships, press hits, staff profiles, industry news, and thought leadership articles. It's a balance of planning, managing, and creatively developing content (aka, writing it), and working with designers to best express it.
